Alma/Primo Wiki

SWITCH maintains a support wiki on PB Works: SWITCH Libraries Alma/Primo Wiki.

We have provided editor-level access to all library staff so you can add or modify content on the wiki. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it with this link. If you do not recall the email you used to set up the account or do not think you have an account, you can also request access with this link.

FAQs

1. My single sign on is down, can I still get into Alma?

Yes! All library staff have been set up as internal users in Alma which gives them the flexibility to login in through their institutional credentials or through and internal user name and password. You will need to use a different log in URL. More information can be found here: Internal and External Login URLs for Authentication

2. Alma is down! How can we manage circulation?

If your library has installed the Offline Circulation Utility you can run loans and returns while the system is down and then load the results into Alma to register the transactions. If not, you can keep a paper list and enter transactions manually. Just be careful to use Scan In>>Returns to manually enter a specific return date/time for loans that might be subject to fines.

3. Something went wrong with UW Resource Sharing. Is there a contact list for the relevant libraries?

Yes! The contact list can be downloaded from the SWITCH Wiki: SWITCH-UW Resource Sharing Contacts.pdf
